民国初年，国会议员卢子陵在家遇害，一条钻石项链被盗。监察厅聘用的多名侦探先后失踪。段厅长不得已从死牢保出侦探“铁蜘蛛”，又请来“神猫”冷云飞协助。冷云飞在“铁蜘蛛”的暗中指示下行动，并结识了袁芳，而袁芳姑父文中汉其实使龙虎堂堂主。原来，被盗的钻石上刻有反袁革命军军校级以上军官的名单，急于得到名单的袁世凯派人杀了文中汉，但钻石最后为“铁蜘蛛”也就是袁芳所得。袁芳假死逃脱，冷云飞南下云南与之相会。。A private detective helps a prostitute being assaulted, and notices that she is wearing a very unique ring. She is later found murdered and there is no trace of the ring, which turns out to be part of a cache of jewelry stolen by the Nazis during World War II and smuggled out of France after the wary by an American army colonel. The private eye decides to try to find the ring, ...。
